She has taught in previous summers at Bethel Lutheran Church in SE Rochester, where she also returns as the Handbell Director. Chrissy also directed a music camp at Bethel summers 2011 and 2012 and hopes to revive the summer music camp in the future..

She offers music lessons for a variety of musical skills.

Her violin instructors, private & orchestral, include Karen Larsen (Rochester), Julia Workman (Rochester), Michael Sloane (Rochester), Beatrice Edson (Rochester), Hong Chou (Lewis & Clark College), George Skipworth (L&C), and Jeff Specht (L&C). She has studied piano and accompanying with Stephanie Thompson, composition with Michael Johanson, conducting with Kathy FitzGibbon, and theory and aural skills with Brett Paschal, Orla McDonagh, and Michael Johanson at L&C.

If you are interested in lessons, please contact Chrissy via email or register at http://chrissysstudio.mymusicstaff.com/Looking-for-Lessons- . (note - some parts of the year are more difficult to add new students, Chrissy will let you know if you are requesting during one of those times.)

Notes

**Chrissy is a very busy person with other jobs outside of teaching. There is frequently a waiting list for lessons, which will be filled by a combination of first-come, first served and schedule meshing.**

I will teach anybody, of any age, and I will come to you!

If you want lessons on an instrument you are currently learning to play, I expect you to be able to read music (for your respective clef and basic rhythms). At our first lesson, we will discuss your goals, your practice habits, how you want feedback from me, any learning methods you want me to be aware of, and what you liked & didn't like about your last teacher. (If a younger student, this will be discussed with the parent also)

If you are coming to me brand new - you do not need any musical knowledge at all, but any music experience will be helpful to you or your child. We'll talk about goals and timelines as well, how to develop good practice habits, etc.

I will teach piano accompaniment to students who are interested.
