My bio

I have studied classical piano as first a student and then a teacher for 40 years. As a student I attended quarterly adjudication sessions, semi annual recitals, yearly competitions. I won some competitions and others I lost. I have played with orchestras and accompanied vocalists of many styles from what we call classical, to jazz, to pop. I aslo accompany instrmentalists. I have played at parties and weddings. It took two fatal illness diagnosis to take me out of the corporate business world and back to what I love. That has also brought me back to music education as a foundation for my lessons. I teach in an way that brings the answer from the student instead of from me. There are no mistakes only opportunities to learn. I have been to the "Olympics" and back again. I can take you or your child as far as you want to go either myself or referring you to someone else to take the next step. If you would like to learn more about me, please visit my web page Peacock Piano Studio. Thank you.

I teach beginners through adults. I specialize in the begginer or intermediate student. I am a specialist in working with students who are having difficult making a breakhrough in note reading, or ear training for example. Many teachers send their students to me for temporary consultation on special issues such as note reading.

Children under 7 are taken on a case by case basis. I have taught students as young as 4 with fantastic results. I consider myself as one third of the teaching team. The whole team is the student, the parents, and me. If you would like to know more about me please visit my web site peacockpianostudio.com
