I am an experienced violinist and teacher, with Bachelor's and Master's degrees from a top conservatory plus two teaching credentials, who has roots in the community. I play violin and viola in a classical quartet, and electric violin and baritone violin in a jazz group. My method is an individualized one. I find out what the student wants to learn, and what s/he needs to progress, to begin decoding and learning pieces on his/her own. Strong rhythmic training, playing with others in string ensembles, reading music, and gaining experience performing are necessary.
